Episode Summary

Bentley Hawthorne (Cory Michael Smith) lives a solitary life in an old mansion with his butler, Pym (Zeljko Ivanek). In secret, Bentley works for the angel of Death, avenging those killed before their time. It’s a heavy burden that Bentley bears alone. However, when Bentley gets a new case involving the murder of a trapeze artist, he finds himself asking for help from an old childhood friend and spitfire journalist Gwendolyn Marks (Merritt Wever). Unfortunately, rather than solving his problem, Gwen’s research only raises more unexpected questions.
